Minor Surgery - Dr C S Arnold
Some minor surgery procedures may be undertaken at the surgery. Please make an appointment to discuss this with the doctor or nurse.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel. We only provide vaccines that are free of charge and available on the NHS. Anything else, patients will need to book with a local travel clinic where there is a charge by the service.
Travel Health Questionnaire
To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse.
Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
The NHS does not pay for some of the services we provide. These include private sick notes, insurance forms, holiday cancellation forms, medical reports, fitness to travel certificates, medicals, private prescriptions, and some vaccination services. A list of the prices for these services, which are in line with BMA approved national guidelines, is displayed at reception copies are available.
Occasionally it may be necessary to submit the form for a quote so that the fee can be agreed by the Doctor.
You will need to hand your form or request in at reception, it will then be passed to our admin team who will liaise with the Doctor to get it completed.
As of the 1st October 2018 we have reviewed our price list see new scale of private fees attached. All payments for private work must be made at the time we receive the request. The work will only be completed once payment is made in full. See pricelist of work deemed private at reception or view below.
Private non NHS fees
All appointments for medicals such as Taxi/HGV/PSV will require a £50 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking with the outstanding payment due at the appointment.
We can take payments by cash or cheque.
Please be aware that we have to prioritise our NHS work, we do not have the resources to action private requests urgently and these can take up to 2 weeks and occasionally longer if the doctor is on leave.
