Do It Online

          Welcome to Broadwater Medical Centre

Broadwater Medical Centre is seeing a huge spike in demand and while it has been consistently busy since the start of the pandemic back in April, Christmas and rise in Covid cases locally has added to demand in recent days. Unfortunately staff are not immune from being ill and/or having to self-isolate at home. This has a knock on effect to who can deal with calls, repeat prescription requests, queries and urgent medical problems that we need to see.

Nurses are still seeing those that need routine vaccinations including childhood vaccines, dressings and smears. We are supporting those with learning disabilities and uncontrolled chronic disease via telephone however routine recalls for review may be slightly delayed. GPs and our paramedic practitioners are still seeing patients that need urgent medical treatment, just making a phone call to assess over the phone first to protect both patients and themselves. IF however they do need to see anyone face to face then they will book the appointment. If you are concerned about an issue that you think could be serious, do not put off calling us we are still here to help give medical advice, we can still refer to the hospital if it is medically appropriate.

If you have access to the internet then using our eConsult option will not only free up the phone lines for those that don’t but also enables us to sign post you quickly to the right clinical member of the team, which may not be a GP. We thank you for all your cooperation and support and we hope to soon be administering the covid vaccines to our most at risk patients on top of the acute demand each day. Thank you.
