Winter Vaccinations 2024
COVID and Flu vaccinations are now set to start in October.
We will be sending out invitations via text message to our eligible patients. When you receive the invitation, we encourage you to make use of our online self-booking. Just click on the link in the text message and you will see appointments available to book. Rest assured, there will be enough appointments for everyone who is eligible.

Which Vaccinations Am I Eligible For?
Please find below the criteria for both COVID and Flu vaccinations.
Eligibility for Flu Vaccination
- adults aged 65 years and over
- residents in a care home for older adults
- persons aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group
Eligibility for COVID Vaccination
- adults aged 65 years and over
- pregnant women
- those with certain long-term health conditions
Why do I have to wait until October for my flu vaccine?
This year most eligible adults will be offered a flu vaccine from early October, which might be slightly later than in previous years. This is because the latest scientific evidence shows that protection from the flu vaccine decreases over time in adults. It is therefore better to have the vaccine closer to when flu typically circulates.
